    John G. Sheehan Memorial

    Inspiring

Heartbreaking news. My deepest condolences to John’s family. I worked with John years ago at PDD and we got along from day one. John was inspiring. I respected his incredible work ethic, his views on life, food and music. We shared a love for reggae. When we’d cross paths over the years, it was as if no time had passed. Gone way too soon. Rest in peace, John. Grateful to have called you friend

    Selfless

I am deeply shocked and saddened by this news. I met John in 2017 when I stayed with his family as an au pair. He was the most loving, selfless, fun, and inspiring friend and father anyone could ever imagine. He allowed me to have the most wonderful and exciting time and showed me what is important in life. I am very grateful for everything I was able to learn from him. Thank you John for becoming my “second dad”! I wish we could have met again. Praying for Shelly, the kids, and all his friends. 💔🕊

    Unicorn

John was a unicorn - there was no one like him. He was so knowledgeable, worldly and always incredibly optimistic. Such a class act - a mentor to so many of his coworkers like myself. I am shocked by the news of his passing and will pray for him to rest in peace as well as his family to get through this difficult time now and for years to come. He will be dearly missed 💔

    Unique

Met John in 1987 when we started at Yellow Pages and we remained friends ever since. To say John was a unique personality would be an understatement. His passion for travel, wine, food and life was contagious. I’m flooded with memories of our South Philly lunches. Flying in gliders over the farms of Perkasie. Our families meeting at the Ocean City boardwalk, and catching a James Bond movie together with Liam. Most recently, I spoke to John in February. We talked for an hour and revisited many of our favorite topics- growing up in NE Philly, OG stories of working in Bensalem and looking ahead, he was excited to take me to a hipster restaurant in Fishtown he discovered. I told him as soon as he was feeling better, I was in. I’m sorry we never made it there. I will miss him.

    Authentic

John was one of the funniest, most unique and authentic people I’ve known in my life. This is such a loss for, I can’t imagine how many people. He really loved being alive, just savored everything about it. He was so good to me as a sales rep starting out at Bell Atlantic, just had a huge heart. So truly sorry to learn of his passing. God bless Sheehan, nobody made me laugh as hard as you did.

    What an amazing man

Rest In Peace, Mr. Sheehan. What an amazing man with incredible taste and an insatiable love for good hockey, great wine and delicious cuisine. I will very much miss our “catch-ups.” ❤️🙏🏻
